Hetauda – Province 3

Hetauda,  a sub-metropolitan city in the Makwanpur District , is temporary  capital of province no.3. Hetauda is situated in the confluence of the two national highways namely Tribhuvan highway and East-Wast highway and is one of the industrial district of the country.

Hetauda city is located at a distance of 132 km via Tribhuvan Highway and 224 km via Prithvi Highway.Narayanghat is one of the major city of the province , besides other major cities Kathmandu , Bhaktapur and Lalitpur.

The world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley , wildlife resorts of  Chitwan and Nawalpur , mountains like Ganesh Himal (7163 m), Langtang (7205 m) and  Gaurishankar (7134 m) attract a large number of tourists each year.

As  Tamakoshi, Trishuli, Bagmati and other rivers flow through this province , the region contributes a lot in generating hydro power in the country.

The hill stations Nagarkot and Dhulikhel, Shivapuri area , Chitwan National Park ,Langtang National Park,  and Gaurishankar Conservation area are other attractions of the province .
